The PFK Saleroom
is located yards from Junction 40 of the M6, where it crosses the A66
(which runs East-West from Scotch Corner to the Lakes). To find us,
use the map illustrated here (or follow the directions below).
either
a) Arriving from
the M6 (North or South)
Exit the M6 at
Junction 40 (North or South). At the main roundabout, take the A66
west towards Keswick (1st turn-off if travelling North on M6, 4th if
travelling South).
or
b) Arriving from
the A66 East (Scotch Corner, Appleby etc).
Take the 2nd
turn-off (continuation of A66) at the Junction 40 roundabout.
For both options,
now follow step c). For directions from the A66 West or Ullswater, go
to step d).
c) You will
immediately (50 yards) pass an entrance sign for “Lilliput Lane” - we
are opposite this on the other side of the dual carriageway. Continue
beneath a railway bridge and past a “LIttle Chef” to the next
roundabout (about 1/2 mile - you will see a petrol station and the
“Rheged” Cumbrian visitor attraction). Double-back on yourself towards
Junction 40 of the M6.
Now follow step
e).
d) Arriving from
the A66 West (Lakes, West Cumbria) or from Ullswater
At the Rheged/Ullswater roundabout (approximately 1 mile west of
Junction 40 of the M6), head towards the main Junction 40 M6
roundabout.
e) You will pass a
turning for a “Golf driving-range” and pass beneath the railway bridge
again. Take the ONLY slip road between the railway bridge and the
motorway roundabout - you will see a large white sign with the PFK
logo and name, just before the large green sign denoting the various
turn-offs of the roundabout.
f) Once within the
complex, you will see a large gravel car park before you. If you are
viewing a sale, park in the top left corner of the car park. The
saleroom is situated in front of you, beside a bungalow. If you are
collecting or delivering items, you could instead drive to the side
door of the Saleroom. On entering the complex, you will immediately
see a small white sign indicating “Saleroom Collections and
Deliveries”. Take this turning (into a rough gravel overflow car park)
and the door is behind the adjacent bungalow.
Penrith railway
station is on the West Coast main line (Virgin trains), approximately
3 miles/ 5 minutes by taxi from the Saleroom. The telephone number for
National Rail Enquiries is 08457 48 49 50.
